Are you looking for something creative for your Teen to do this summer? Acereel Studio is offering a fun, creative and educational Multi-Media Program. This 2 week Program will teach teens ages 13-19 all about different aspects of Media. The Program will take place the weeks of July 9th and July 16th, 2012. The Program will give teens the opportunity to learn about the Multi-Media field and allow them to work collectively on a Project. Teens will be able to learn about the following Media areas:
Photography
Your Teen will learn how to take beautiful pictures using a Digital SRL Camera and we’re not talking snapshots they’ll post on Facebook; but stunning well-exposed photos you’ll be proud of. Before you go and spend hundreds of dollars on photo equipment for your budding Photographer to be, let your Teen test drive being a Photographer during our summer Program. This 2 week program will be a crash course in digital photography. Your Teen will learn what most of those knobs and dials on the Digital SLR Camera do, the settings to use in any lighting condition, and what kind of camera to buy if you don't already have one. You'll understand concepts like exposure, aperture, depth of field, ISO and shutter speed. No camera equipment is necessary to attend, just a desire to learn.
Graphic Design
Your Teen will learn about Adobe Photoshop, which is the industry standard graphics software for photographers, designers, and digital artists. This program is aimed towards beginners and first will get your Teen familiar with the lay of the land, essential concept of saving files, introduction of shortcuts, how to choose colors and more. Your Teen will also learn Photoshop’s robust set of features such as Photoshop’s Tool box, Layering, and Retouch and Healing Tools. .
Broadcasting
Is your Teen interesting in Broadcasting? Whether it is in front of the camera; possibly hosting their own show, or behind the scenes being part of the production team. This Program will teach your Teen how to stream video or audio over the internet, whether live or on-demand streaming. This Program will teach your Teen all the information they’ll need to learn on how to stream media live or on-demand media over the internet.
Studio Engineer
This course is for every Teen who loves music and has a genuine interest on learning how to engineer. This course will teach your Teen how to get the sound they desire. In this course we’ll take your Teen step-by-step through all the equipment you would expect to find in an audio recording studio, explain how it works and then they’ll have a chance to use it themselves. They’ll learn the fundamentals of how to record tracks with software music sequencers such as Pro-Tools or Fruity Loops. Your Teen will go through the process of recording, editing and building a music track.
Video Production
Your Teen will learn about the video production process, from creating a video to becoming a video producer. This course will teach your Teen the basics of video, how to identify a great story starting and how to be successful as a video producer. Your teen will learn about focus, exposure, white balance, and composition. A perfect introduction!
No camera equipment is necessary to attend, just a desire to learn.
Program Collaboration Each Teen will work with their group to complete a collective Project. The final product will be a complete Promotional Press Kit Package for one of Philadelphia’s new up and coming Recording Artist.
Registration -$50.00 registration required to hold your Teen’s spot in the Program. Course Fee -$200.00 per week (2 week mandatory Program)
